UTAH UPRISING FC SECURES A DOMINANT VICTORY OVER LAS VEGAS IN HISTORIC HOME OPENER
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - (November 30, 2025) - Utah Uprising FC made history on Sunday afternoon, earning the club’s first-ever victory with an emphatic 9–3 win over the Las Vegas Turf Monsters in front of a packed home crowd at Sport City Draper. The energy inside the arena was palpable as fans filled the stands for the team’s inaugural home match, creating a thrilling atmosphere that fueled Utah from start to finish.
The scoring opened early with Jordan Peña, who notched the first home goal in club history and ignited the Uprising offense. Las Vegas responded quickly through Luis Vargas, leveling the match 1–1, but from there, Utah seized control.
In the second quarter, Utah Uprising FC surged ahead with three unanswered goals, taking command of the match and never looking back. Las Vegas added one goal each in the second and third periods, but Utah’s relentless attack and disciplined defensive structure kept the Turf Monsters from gaining any momentum.
The Uprising extended their lead throughout the third and fourth quarters, showcasing depth, creativity, and high-pressure indoor soccer that left Las Vegas searching for answers. By the final whistle, Utah had secured a resounding 9–3 victory, marking a defining milestone in the club’s inaugural season.
Utah’s offensive outpouring featured contributions from across the roster. In addition to Jordan Peña’s opening goal, Braydon Gipson led with two goals, while Chandler Hoffman, Jackson Bunn, Gui Leme, Chris Reyes, Leonardo Sobreira, and Tayvius Mejia each added goals of their own — a testament to the team’s versatility and collective strength in the attack.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better start at home,” said Club President Michael McNeil. “The players were phenomenal, and our fans created an incredible environment. This win represents everything we want this club to stand for — energy, passion, and the strength of the Utah soccer community.”
Utah Uprising FC now turns its attention to a road matchup in Dallas next weekend as they look to continue building momentum early in the MLIS season.
